I’m a growth entrepreneur and an entrepreneurial-minded lawyer with an unyielding passion for growth companies. I thrive on building challenger companies, pioneering new business models, and targeting to international markets.

 

Currently, I serve as the Board Chair for Fondia Oyj, Heltti Oy, Witted Megacorp Oyj, Hellon Oy, Linio Biotech Oy, and Nordic Business Group Oy. Alongside these roles, I provide legal and business advice to growth companies, business angels, and venture capital investors, such as First Fellow Partners.

 

How did I end up with this eclectic job portfolio?

 

My journey began in the established Finnish law firms, where I specialized in technology companies, M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital transactions. But in 2006, I unearthed my inner growth entrepreneur and left the traditional law scene. I co-founded Fondia, a start-up with a mission to revolutionize the legal industry. Becoming Fondia's CEO and transforming Fondia from a fledgling start-up into the first publicly listed legal services company in the Nordics, employing 200 professionals across four countries, is a feat I hold close to my heart.

 

In 2013, driven by the lessons learned and successes garnered at Fondia, I co-founded Heltti. Our vision was to redefine occupational healthcare, therapy, and wellbeing services. As Heltti's CEO for its first decade, I led its growth to a dynamic team of over 200 professionals, serving more than 1,000 customer companies and 20,000+ individuals.

 

Growth companies evolve, and so do their leadership needs. Recognizing this, I stepped down as CEO of Fondia in 2011 and Heltti in 2023. However, my commitment to these companies' success remains steadfast as I continue to support their growth from my position of the Board Chair and major shareholder in both these companies.

So far, I have had the opportunity to ring the Helsinki Stock Exchange bell twice during the IPO's of Fondia and Witted. My goal is to continue meeting the stock exchange bell also in the future.

I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and continuous growth. My objective is to excel as a professional Board Chair for both growth companies and publicly listed companies. I actively engage in the leadership of these Boards and support these companies' operative management. My contributions as a professional independent Board Chair extend to Witted, Hellon, Linio Biotech, and Nordic Business Group, along with various networks. As a Partner at the Boardman network, I’ve chaired Boardman Grow and served as a Board Member. Through this network, I champion the culture of growth and enhance leadership and management skills by sharing knowledge and experiences with other professionals

 

Beyond my law degree, I hold a degree in economics, a testament to my commitment to a well-rounded understanding of the business landscape.

The name of this site, Juristimo, mixes the Finnish word "juristi" (lawyer) with my first name, Timo. Juristimo is a blend of my passion for law, entrepreneurship and my personal touch. In the Finnish language, Juristimo can also be seen as a place where law is made, like a bakery where bread is baked.
